What Is Hygge in a Box?
Hygge in a Box is a membership-based subscription service for those who are seeking ways to bring more happiness, comfort and ultimately experience hygge from the inside out. Each Hygge in a Box is carefully curated to deliver premium products and will vary season to season. Hygge in a Box Subscriptions will be delivered in October, January, April & July.

Yes. Hygge in a Box is priced in Canadian currency.
When is the cut-off date to order the seasonal subscriptions?
The cut-off date to order Hygge in a Box & Hygge in a Box Subscriptions is the 30th of the month before the next quarterly shipment (September 30th, December 30th, March 30th & June 30th). Boxes will be sent out during the third week of October, third week of January, third week of April and the third week of July. With Canada Post the delivery should take anywhere from 3 to 10 days depending on weather and your location. With this option, you can look forward to receiving 4 boxes filled with hyggelig items every quarter!
What are your shipping costs within Canada?
Flat rate of $19.99 in Canadian dollars to locations in Canada. For delivery in Manitoba the rate is $15.00. Our shipping rate to the United States is $28 Canadian.
Do you ship to the USA and Internationally?
Can I pick my box up?
Yes, but only in Winnipeg. Please select “PICKUP” as the shipping method when you checkout. We will then contact you via email to arrange a pick up time.
When will my box be shipped?
The Hygge in a Box & Hygge in a Box Subscriptions will be sent out to members during the third week of October, third week of January, third week of April and the third week of July. Note: We are not responsible for any missing/incorrect shipping information. Please double check that the shipping information supplied to us is correct. If a package is returned to us, we will notify you and you will be responsible for the postage fee to reship the returned box or you can accept a refund minus the shipping cost paid.
When will I be billed for my next box if I purchased the subscription membership?
Your subscription is $114.99 per season (plus tax) if subscribed for the annual membership. $19.99 will be added for shipping making your subscription $134.98 total per season (plus tax).
The subscription is set to auto-renew (every 3 months from your order date), so your card will be automatically processed unless you cancel.
You will receive a total of four editions of Hygge in a box in a given calendar year.
Do I need to sign up for future editions of Hygge in a Box if I buy the Seasonal Subscription?
As a subscription member, you only need to sign up once. The subscription is set to auto-renew (every 3 months from your order date), so you’ll automatically receive future editions until you cancel.
Note: For the Hygge Starter Kit, this is a perfect option if you want to trial the Hygge in a Box, or if you want to give it as a gift. No subscription required. With the One-Time Purchase option, there will be no recurring billing or deliveries.
Is every box the same?
While each box of the seasonal theme is carefully selected, there may be the occasional variations from box to box, in terms of scents, flavours of tasty treats or colours of some items item, but all boxes will be of the same value.
Can I send a Subscription as a gift?
Are all the products made in Canada?
Most of the products we curate for each box are made in Canada or sold from a Canadian company, but not all. As an example, from time to time we may curate special hard to find products for our boxes. For example, fun board games from Sweden, woollen socks from Denmark or wraps from Turkey.
Are the edible products in the box allergy & diet sensitive?
We can not guarantee that all products are caffeine free, nut free, dairy free, gluten free, sugar free, organic, kosher etc. We do however strive to only have products in the box that are cruelty free, and ethically sourced and manufactured.
For any skincare products we suggest thoroughly reading the ingredient list and spot checking a small amount of product on your hand prior to full use.
How can I contact Hygge in a Box?
What is your refund & return policy?
We honour full refunds within 24 hours of placing your order/renewal. You must email us immediately within 24 hours of your order at firstname.lastname@example.org and request a refund via email because we process refunds manually. After receiving an email request for the refund, it can take up to 5-10 business days for the full refund to appear back into your card.
If you don’t absolutely adore Hygge in a Box, we don’t want you to feel that you must keep it. To make a return you must notify us within 3 days of receiving your box. The box will need to be returned in its original condition and packaging (must be wrapped in an outer poly bag, or another box. Boxes without protective packaging or has missing contents will not be accepted for returns). Returns are only acceptable for brand new boxes in its original condition with full contents and original/appropriate packaging. We do not offer refunds for products that are opened, used or returned after 14 days.

Is it possible to get a refund on individual products that I may already have or don’t love ?
We understand that not everybody will love every items in each box. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate refunds on items. However, this is a good opportunity to share the Hygge love by giving a gift to someone else.
Is the Hygge in a Box packaging recyclable ?
Yes. All of the packing materials from the boxes to the corrugated wrap to the tissue paper are eco-friendly.
How do I cancel my subscription?
What if I receive a damaged item?
We will be happy to send you a replacement if your product arrives damaged or defective. Please email us at email@example.com with photo evidence of damages within 3 days of receipt of the box. Please ensure you send us the following photos:
- The outside condition of the box upon delivery
- The damaged item(s) showing evident damage/leakage
- A picture of the inside of the box you received.
We will ship you any replacements for damaged items after receiving these photos!
